Teaching procedures:
1. Pre-task activity:
-Discuss “go shopping ” with student
l Do you like to go shopping? Why or why not
l Who do you go shopping with?
l Where do you go shopping?
l When do you go shopping? On weekday or at the weekends?
2. During –task activity:
-Talk about the two lovely dogs by showing the pictures
Students read P70, and then answer the following question.
l What does Hobo want to do?
l What’s Hobo ’s trouble?
l What does Eddie give to Hobo?
l What does Hobo want Eddie to do?
Read after the teacher, together, in groups, boys and girls
Complete the dialogue
Practice in pairs
Act out
-Find the presents for teenage
Do you often give presents for your friends on their birthdays?
What do you often buy for them?
Talk about Simon and Sandy (Part A1).
Teach the new words.
Part A1: Amy wants to buy a present for Sandy. But she doesn’t know what she likes?
So she asks: “Do you like a …for your birthday ?”
Sandy “Yes. I like it very much.” /No, I don’t like it.
Some presents are only for boys, and some are only for girls. Can you send hair clips to boys?
Some presents are both for boys and girls.
